Shuttlecock

"It's advantageous to an author that his book should be attacked as well as praised. Fame is a shuttlecock. If it be struck at only one end of the room, it will soon fall to the ground. To keep it up, it must be struck at both ends."
Samuel Johnson (1709-1784)

  1. Badminton is my favorite game. It's a wonderful game if one playes it unlike tennis without net and with the ambition to keep the shuttlecock up. And the satisfaction of this experience has something which pushes to be generalized

  2. Badminton belongs to the group of racquet sports. This English classification is based on the striking device. In German it is the players´ motion. Tennis, badminton etc. are “Rückschlagspiele” (backbeat games). And “Rückschlag” means backlash as well as setback or defeat.
