The Secret

"Every man is a damn fool at least five minutes every day; wisdom consists of not exceeding the limit."
Elbert Hubbard

"Every writer fails most of the time; to create something great he'd better cut away the 95 % blunder and only keep the little bit that's good."
Yours Truly

  1. Every man is a damn fool at least five minutes every day. This is a judgement based on experience, it´s a rule and more than a rule, it´s an axiom. How stressful for the pope to work against for maintaining inerrableness every single day.

  2. @Yours Truly

I'm watching the Spain vs Switzerland World Cup game while reading your statement, Michael. And - voila! - after failing for 95% of the game so far, Switzerland just scored the sensational leading goal. Nice!

Interestingly enough, that "little bit that's good" immediately lowered the failure percentage.
